About D. B. Sagar

D.B. Sagar is an experienced government and public services Project Management Professional (PMP), social entrepreneur, and civil rights advocate who has devoted his entire career to advance public services and civil rights. He is also a globally recognized individual in the area of human rights and social justice advocacy efforts. With over 20 years of experience, Sagar brings substantial expertise in leading program development and management efforts for government, nonprofit, and corporate. He regularly collaborates with a broad range of stakeholders in the course of this work. Sagar has briefed leadership of the U.S. Department of State, USAID, DFID, European Commission on several occasions. He has testified before the UN Intergovernmental Negotiations on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, the UN Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination; the UN Human Rights Sub-Committee; the European Parliament; and the British House of Commons on matters of Human Rights and equality. He was actively engaged in the UN World Conference against Racism in 2001. He hosted the first ever global conference on Dalit Rights in 2015 and co-authored the Dalit Rights Global Declaration 2015. Sagar graduated from American University Washington College of Law and received his master’s degree from American University, D.C. He has given public speeches/lectures and interviews to news media including #AssociatedPress. Sagar has written articles/reports and provided expert commentary on the issue of public policies.
