About D. J. Simon

As a 2017 graduate of the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Aviation Logistics, I am confident that my experience as a Flight Instructor would make me an asset to your team. During my time as a flight instructor, I had the unique opportunity of instructing foreign students at a part 141 school teaching the private, instrument, and commercial curriculums. I learned the complicated regulations that govern the aviation industry because as a teacher I am expected to guide student pilots on aviation law, while at the same time remain committed to an environment of safety and professionalism. I have always had the drive to help people. In college, I was the community service officer for my fraternity that took part in helping raise money for cancer survivors, as well as organizing cleaning volunteers for the University of North Texas. In my previous experiences as a flight instructor I have learned that it is my upmost duty to create a safe but fun learning scene where my students are not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. I believe that my experience is a valuable asset because I know how to lead others and provide excellent customer service.
