Background

About D. Michael Colby

I am a hands-on metrology engineer that is excellent at improving yields and reducing costs. The teams and projects I have lead or participated on have saved our business millions of dollars in costs of goods sold. My Six Sigma skills enable me to identify and eliminate process variability that lead to yield loss. My years of experience in failure analysis have made me a specialist in many analytical techniques including a wide variety of inline metrology tools. My high level of initiative and willingness to accept new challenges and responsibilities enables the success of the yield improvement and quality teams I participate on. I bring to the team a proven track record of identifying opportunities for yield improvement and then take action in eliminating them. I take a great deal of pride in my work. My work ethics enabled me to be awarded “2015 Employee of the Year” in a company with over ~25K employees.
