About Daan Groen

My goal is to approach process issues with creative solutions. With strong roots in the design and creativity industry and a natural talent to analyze and restructure procedures. I am seldom content with the first given solution and prefer to dig a bit deeper where my goal is to search for non-zero sum, win-win solutions. Working with gaming mechanisms has enriched my approach to problem solving. In the past ten years I have started multiple bigger and smaller software development teams / companies and brought structure to a group of highly motivated technical employees. I’ve managed a company from startup through hard times into a stable software development company. As a typical people manager, I try to involve all the stakeholders in the implementation of the most viable solution. I hold a master’s degree in architecture, specialized in renovation, transformation and modification. I’ve translated the techniques and design methods used in this field of work into the challenges that I face in software development and training design. Research has never left my system and I still find passion in education and research. As both a designer as an analyst I can bring a diverse set of skills to a company. I find my energy in building bridges between solutions that require of the box thinking. My expertise: • Analyzing and designing tangible solutions to structural process issues; • Analyze, reshape and restructure inhouse training programs; • Clarifying, implementing and documenting support protocols; • Using workshops and customer collaboration to increase process effectiveness; • Structuring protocols focused on a measurable outcome.
