About Daan Smeding

From my early days as a Teamlead at Albert Heijn to my time as a HBO Duaal student at Stenden University, I have always been passionate about the retail industry. During my studies, I have taken courses at various retail locations across the Netherlands, working with a wide range of companies to gain a deep understanding of the industry. After graduation, I had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Category Manager at Albert Heijn Belgium, where I gained valuable experience in product management and supplier relationships. This experience helped me to further develop my skills as a retail professional and provided me with a deeper understanding of the industry. Today, I am a Category Manager at Lidl, responsible for managing a portfolio of products across multiple categories and ensuring the success of our retail operations. My time at Lidl has allowed me to further hone my skills and I am proud to be part of a company that is committed to providing affordable, high-quality products to customers. Overall, my journey in the retail industry has been shaped by my experiences at every step. I am excited to continue growing and developing as a retail professional and to contribute to the success of the industry as a whole.
