As General Counsel at SEG, I am part of the management team, actively contributing to the company’s strategic direction and long-term planning. I advise the Board on a broad range of legal and business matters, ensuring alignment between legal frameworks and corporate objectives. I lead and manage both the Legal and IT teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration to support SEG’s growth and innovation. A key aspect of my role is full responsibility for all contractual matters related to high-value international player transfers. In addition to overseeing the legal framework, I am directly involved in the commercial negotiations of these transfers, helping to secure favorable outcomes for all parties involved. Trained in Dutch law, I have developed a strong international legal perspective through years of working across jurisdictions. I have gained extensive practical knowledge of German, Italian, and English law—particularly in the areas of sports law, contract law, and employment law. For matters requiring local expertise, I work closely with a trusted network of external specialists to ensure accurate, effective, and commercially sound solutions. With a strong focus on governance, operational efficiency, and strategic impact, I help drive business success through legal leadership and cross-departmental alignment.
