About Dacoda Maddalone

Currently employed in program development and community engagement for Maine Immigrants' Rights Coalition. We hold proactive advocacy and development in tandem with emergency response, as we work according to needs presented by vulnerable communities in the state of Maine. Previous to this work, I have 5 years of experience managing operations and cross-functional teams within travel & tourism, small business, and non-profit fields. My transition into this current field of non-profit work began with managing the operations of a short-term emergency shelter in the summer of 2022 that housed asylum seeking families in Portland, Maine. I am skilled in Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Business Operations Strategies, Project Management, Team Building, and Process Optimization. I hold an Associates Degree in Communications from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. From there, I went on to train in Leadership Development and Pastoral Care certifications from Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney, Australia. Throughout the years, I have furthered my education in life coaching certifications, trauma informed communication, youth mental health first aid, and trainings centered around working with refugee and immigrant youth.
