About Dacyl Runnacles

I specialise in policy development and public administration in the challenging areas of First Nations land, housing and infrastructure. I've also broadened my expertise through working on First Nations-focused Nature Positive and cultural heritage Commonwealth legislative reforms, mainland territories policy issues and National Redress Scheme responses on behalf of the territories pre-self-government. My long-term work as a public servant has been enhanced by stints as an applied anthropologist in remote areas of the Northern Territory of Australia working in cultural heritage protection and native title for statutory entities. I've also worked on capability building and humanitarian relief initiatives with community development organisations in South-East Asia. My core values are integrity, authenticity and respect. I'm organised, strategic, detail-oriented, creative, resilient, solutions-focused and results-driven. I believe in the power of workplace diversity, inclusion and emotionally intelligent leadership.
