About Daglas Koraca

Daglas Koraca earned his doctorate in management at the Faculty of Economics of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, with the doctoral dissertation: The impact of ICT on organizational architecture. At the same faculty, he specialized in management and organization, and graduated management at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Rijeka. Koraca is a doctor of social sciences in the field of economics and a professor in the areas of management, financial management, organization, and socially responsible business. He is the founder and chief editor of the international scientific journal "Proceedings of the Istrian University of Applied Sciences," published by the University itself, and a member of the organizing and program committee of the international scientific and professional conference on Public Administration Development. He is the author of numerous scientific papers in the fields of economics and information communication sciences, published in international scientific journals and conference proceedings. His research interests are in the areas of management, finance, and ICT. He is a member of the University od Applied Sciensec Assembly of the Republic of Croatia. He began his professional career at the company 6. Maj in Umag, where he held the position of financial director for ten years. In 2014, the Government of the Republic of Croatia appointed him Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia, and from the same year, he held positions as the chairman of the inter-ministerial council of the Republic of Croatia for the implementation of strategies, chairman of the grant committee of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Tourist Board, member of the Government Council of the Republic of Croatia for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia, member of the Government Commission of the Republic of Croatia for the internationalization of the Croatian economy, member of the working group of the Government of the Republic of Croatia for business climate and private investments, and member of the Management Board of the Center for Restructuring and Sale of the Republic of Croatia. Since 2016, he has been teaching at the Faculty of Informatics at the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula, became the director of the scientific Research center for materials Metris, in 2018, and in 2020, he became the Dean of the Istrian University of Applied Sciences in Pula.
