Product Development: • Identifies and assesses opportunities for new products, or modification of existing products• Responsible for implementing wealth products and services • Facilitates idea incubation sessions with an aim of identifying differentiated and innovative solutions for the marketplace.• Develops design briefs for new product ideas, including product specifications to present a clear, focused concept for consideration. • Partners with segment owners and their marketing team to develop marketing and communication materials, which support the sales of savings and income products• Works closely with product manufacturers within GRS, Individual Wealth, and Sun Life Global Investments to ensure products meet the needs of clients • Refines the new idea evaluation process such that there is an ongoing inventory of viable new product ideas to draw fromProduct Management: • Reviews sales and promotion collateral for product accuracy• Monitors and assesses product performance and fit for client needs• Analyses investment product sales data, including quarterly LIMRA & industry sales data to identify trends and the impact of competitor market activities• Analyzes and manages the impact of internal and legislative changes on decumulation wealth products • Supports sales team responses to exceptions/RFP’s• Ensures product solutions remain competitive, meet ongoing sales and profitability goals, and abide by the regulatory frameworkRelationship Management:• Cultivates both internal and external relationships with various product and sales organizations to evolve the product shelf• Provides product information and assistance to business partners and various stakeholders to help them understand the products and services offered• Works with Sales and Marketing teams to develop marketing, education, communication and promotional material for all audiences
