Profile and research interests, briefly : I am from nuclear physics background and I hold my PhD in Nuclear and Industrial Safety at the University of Pisa, Italy, in March 2007. My experience in the nuclear field started in 1992 and my activities were mainly devoted to R&D tasks in the field of nuclear engineering. I started by setting-up an operational R&D laboratory of nuclear detection and measurements and moved then to the design, the development and the performing of innovative experimental techniques and special applications suited for nuclear radiation metrology, nuclear process diagnostics, control and qualification. I’m strongly interesting in new advanced nuclear system projects, particularly those dedicated for development of energy conversion applications (nuclear power plants), medical applications both at laboratory levels and/or at industrial scales, such as Particle accelerators, GEN EPR NPP, GEN IV, MYRRHA ADS Projects and ITER thermonuclear fusion reactor, to whom I am presently contributing. I am now working in the project (with Pisa University as Tenderer Contractor, contract won 15th June 2017) of the design and construction of a Full scale Experimental Facility dedicated to the Full scale qualification of the Safety effectiveness of the Vacuum Vessel Pressure Suppression System (VVPSS) of the ITER Fusion Tokamak being in construction at Cadarache, South of France. Septembre, 2017. From 1st June 2018, I am enrolled as the "Safety Officer of MINERVA, the Accelerator of the MYRRHA ADS project.
