About Dairo Ikuta

Dairo Ikuta is Vice President & COO at Karenstyle Inc. a venture company who provides personal mobility services to contribute to regional revitalization by increasing opportunities to experience culture, food and nature in rural areas by utilizing advanced technologies in environmentally friendly way. Before joinning Karenstyle, he worked as a marketing lead for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics at Cisco Systems G.K, playing the key roles to increase the brand awareness of Cisco through Tokyo 2020, and drive the wide range of marketing activities to contribute to the digitization of Japan society especially in the area of creating safe and secure city using technologies, promotion of sports & entertainment business, workstyle innovation and cybersecurity talent development. After graduating from university, he joined KDD (now KDDI) experienced sales and marketing. In September 1995, moved to the subsidiary company in Germany as a member of Global Network Project to start new businesses, including M&A of a local telecommunications company. In September he joined Level 3 Communications Germany, a US-based telecommunications company, where he was responsible for new business development targeting Japanese and Asian companies in Germany. In April 2001, he returned to Japan and joined Cisco Systems (Cisco), where he was in charge of product marketing for high-end routers. From January 2006, he started to work at Vodafone Japan Corporation and then at SoftBank Mobile Corp. to launch the MVNO business in Japan.
