About Daisie Collier

I hold an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Minnesota School of Business. After graduating in the spring of 2011, I volunteered at Legal Assistance of Olmsted County before obtaining my current paralegal position in the summer of 2011 at Anderson Law Firm in Rochester, Minnesota (primary focused on family and criminal law). During my career, I have had the opportunity to assist multiple attorneys on a wide range of topics. I am adept at conducting legal research, analyzing and organizing information, communicating with clients, and preparing case materials. I know the importance of detail within a process, and I can work alone or with a team, depending on the need. I pride myself on my ability to remain self-directed and focused in a fast-paced work environment. In my current capacity as a legal assistant, I am responsible for, among others, the following tasks: • creating legal documents such as correspondences, settlement proposals, and pleadings; • assisting in preparing, serving, and filing a wide range of pleadings; • drafting correspondences and memorandums from dictations; • meeting with clients to gather relevant information; and, • performing administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, and opening files. In addition, I am proficient with computers and have comprehensive knowledge about software relevant to this position, including Westlaw research, Amicus Attorney, and Microsoft Office Suites.
