About: I am a technical leader and pre-sales engineering professional with over 10 years of experience driving digital transformation in manufacturing through Model-Based Design (MBD) and control system engineering. As Manager of the Application Engineering Group at MathWorks Japan, I lead a team that helps customers across automotive, industrial machinery, and electrical industries accelerate innovation and product development. I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—sales, marketing, and development—to align engineering excellence with business strategy and deliver measurable impact. I currently serve as the technical lead for electrification and green energy initiatives in Japan, working to expand the adoption of MathWorks solutions that support electrified powertrain, renewable energy, and sustainable system design. Before joining MathWorks, I worked at Nippon Fisher (Fisher Controls, Emerson Process Management) as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where I built a strong foundation in manufacturing process improvement, quality systems, and operational excellence. My academic and technical background is rooted in control engineering, particularly nonlinear control, robust control, and model predictive control (MPC). I am passionate about bridging applied mathematics and industrial innovation, and I actively contribute to academic and professional communities to strengthen industry–academia collaboration.
