About Daisuke Tajima
Joined Sony RDC in Tokyo as UI / UX Engineer inspired by applied psychology. My research interest is the sense of ownership and agency; the sense that this is my own body and I'm an actor of my body movement. I'd like to know the brain mechanism to generate the sense of ownership and agency, and develop the technique to project our 'selves' into the artificial or damaged body, such as a remote control robot, a virtual avatar, and a paralyzed or missing part of body. I'm interested in the strategic design of the user interface to provide an intuitive usability for man-machine interface. I'd like to combine my current researches about how our brain generate the self-body sense from the multiple sensory feedback of an action with the industrial design of the machine which follows the user's body movement.
