About Daisuke Tanabe

Worked as a systems engineer at NTT DATA for 2 years, followed by 5 years in corporate sales. Subsequently transferred to NTT DOCOMO, where I was responsible for the end-to-end launch of a new service (telemedicine), including PoC, Scrum development, and growth. In 2019, worked in the Entertainment Division producing VTubers, achieving growth through digital marketing. Leveraging new business development experience and networks cultivated at Docomo, developed and operated a matching service connecting orthodontic clinics with patients as a side venture starting in 2020. In 2022, he joined Sony Corporation. As a Section Manager, he launched a new business while simultaneously forming a cross-functional team to support multiple new ventures. He drives business creation through UI/UX design, market research, and specialized domain expertise. This initiative—forming a team with side-hustle experts—is the first of its kind for a Japanese corporation and has garnered significant attention in the new business sector.
