About Daisuke Tanaka

Hi everyone! My name is Daisuke Tanaka, Founder/CEO from Any-Edge and DI Dental Setagaya Oral Clinic. I'm passionate about early detection of active inflammation, using biomarkers from non-invasive saliva and breath samples, and love to plan and perform dental treatments for our patients as a Dentist. When I worked as an undergraduate dental student, keeping a patient's oral cavity dry was a challenge. One day, I realized that there was a DNA analysis platform. Regardless of all Dentists, who have disliked saliva management for a long time, I wanted to become a front- line pioneer who can detect early Oral Hygiene changes and Diseases from a broad point of view of Dentistry-Bioengineering. After becoming a Healthcare Entrepreneur, I was dismayed that 20 years after my graduation as a dentist, the school and the dental practitioners were still missing the opportunity to diagnose current medical status using saliva samples and wasting that diagnostic source. I felt guilty, and I could not live with myself as a Dentist and a MICRO-DEVICE Engineer. After all, the patient would ask us about “whoa, Dr Daisuke is not noticing early symptoms of severe diseases” Eventually, I decided to build with my mentor a Hardware Engineering and change that situation. We are creating a new Health Care platform with a medical device that can constantly monitor patients in a timely manner, provide accurate health information and is designed to fill specific needs such as encouragement of their regular check-ups.
