About Daisuke Taniwaki

I'm a software engineer who writes Go, Python, Ruby on Rails and TypeScript. As for human languages, I speak Japanese, business level of English, and conversation level of Chinese. I started my career at Trend Micro in Taiwan and developed an anti-virus software. I also worked in New York and developed the US version of Tabelog, which is the most popular restaurant review site in Japan, as CTO. Then, I joined Preferred Networks and developed a job scheduler and various useful tools on Kubernetes so our researchers can run distributed ML tasks in our cluster with 1500+ GPUs and InfiniBand. I also designed and developed a moelcule management system for drag discovery, and a material search SaaS "Matlantis" as Tech lead/Engineering Manager. I also developed a AI-powered symptom prediction service and established the basis of their pharma business of Ubie, inc. Now, I’m working for JMDC and develop a pseudonymised big data analysis system of medical data, the size of which is more than provided by health insurance associations and data of our health case service, the size of which is more than and promoting the entire company to make data-driven work.
