About Daisy Alys Turnell

I’ve spent over 24 years in the craft beer and hospitality world, with the last 16 focused on marketing, branding, PR and events. Over that time I’ve moved from hands-on delivery into senior strategic roles, helping businesses shape their direction, tell their stories, and connect with the right audiences. I’m a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and invest a great deal of time in keeping my skills up to date. Through my work as Co-owner and Director of Tipple Marketing, I support breweries and suppliers with everything from developing growth strategies to advising leadership teams, building better internal communications systems, and positioning brands for the long-term. I’ve also led multi-channel campaigns, managed high-profile events, and worked closely with business owners to make sure marketing supports their wider goals. Outside of my beer work, I freelance with small businesses, offering practical support and marketing advice. This includes helping with promotion and events for live music, as well as working with other independents who want to grow but don’t always have access to specialist marketing knowledge. I’m the founder of Craft Beer Newcastle, a not-for-profit platform that champions independent breweries and beer culture in the North East. And because I love sharing knowledge and supporting the industry, I write a regular column for Appetite Magazine, judge at beer competitions, I’m a mentor for Women in Beer, and I’m also an active member of the British Guild of Beer Writers. I genuinely care about helping good businesses and communities to thrive — whether that’s through strategy, storytelling, or simply connecting people to great beer and live music.
