About Daisy Hicks

Daisy has worked as a servant in youth development for over 20 years. Serving as a federal consultant on runaway and homeless youth programs, led community-based nonprofits, supported trafficked girls within DC Courts and as a supervisor at New Beginnings Youth Development Center for court involved youth. Over the past 5 years, Ms. Hicks continues to share her youth development skills in the education sector through workforce development and afterschool programming. She currently serves as the Manager for Afterschool Programs with DC Public Schools. Daisy leads with the philosophy of love; love for the work, the people, and the students we serve to yield optimal outcomes. Daisy is also the founder of Belis Boutique Consulting Agency and works with youth-serving nonprofit agencies to build the program capacity and sustainability models for leaders to enhance programming and learn innovative techniques for engaging with vulnerable youth and families. Daisy has been recognized as an innovative and outstanding leader and is a proud HBCU graduate of Bowie State University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Lastly, Daisy is a devoted mother of two beautiful children and to a host of other youth she’s impacted in the Washington, DC community.
