About Daisy Jauregui
Growth and development are a continuous and ongoing goal. I love to work with youth in sharing my love for learning, creativity and knowledge. I am currently teaching Mathematics at the high school and community college levels. An area of interest for me is English Language learners and their lack of proficiency in mathematics. With proper intervention and language strategies in instruction, these students can also succeed within the realm of math. I am also very passionate about the arts. Dance is very much a part of me. I have taught Zumba at a local studio within my community, where I shared dance as a way of therapy to destress, exercise and appreciate the art form. I have taught "folklorico," Mexican folk dance, at the high school level, which allows me to connect my knowledge in spanish literature and Mexican history through the art of dance. Music is also a passion as I play flute and continue to teach privately.
