About Daiszha Cooley

Public health professional and social worker with an interest in collaborating with youth and communities to address root causes of health inequities and to promote mental and physical well-being through the lens of social justice and equity. I am interested in approaches to public health that center the lived experiences of the populations we serve, make data accessible and actionable, and utilize participatory methods (e.g. youth-led participatory action research, group model building). Previous areas of work include youth engagement, substance use prevention, health equity, racial equity, and maternal and child health. Throughout these experiences, I strengthened and leveraged various skills including data analysis, evaluation, qualitative research, facilitation, program planning and implementation, and public speaking.
