About Dakari Taylor-Watson

As a transformational, multidisciplinary leader, I have achieved a career record of results driving strategic operations, programming initiatives, and cross-organizational engagement in diverse U.S. and global environments. My success stems in large part from a talent for engaging diverse stakeholders to realize a common goal, a passion for data-based system/process improvement, and a focus on Diversity and Inclusion as a DEI SME. At present, I direct key facets of infrastructure and network development for an innovative new program formed from a partnership between the DC Public Schools and a non-profit (XQ Institute). In this role, I have rapidly built a partnership network with Fortune 500 companies (i.e. Deloitte), non-profits, and local retailers. Previously, over eight years with Communities in Schools of Nation’s Capital (CISNCAP), I advanced to a multi-school leadership role, where I was integral in the metric-focused creation of a $789K OSSE supporting programming for 2,500 students. Earlier in my career, I served in leadership roles (Program Director/Manager) for The Living Classrooms Foundation/Playworks AmeriCorps, Executive Director of Sustainability and Outreach for Play on Purpose Inc, and Program Consultant, Fuel up to Play 60 for the American Dairy Association NE Inc. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a BS in Biology. Globally well traveled, I have visited a wide range of countries and experienced a diverse array of cultures. International projects include living and working abroad in Haiti and Malaysia (Fulbright Scholarship). Additionally, I am a polished public speaker/educator. Currently, I am exploring remote leadership opportunities in the U.S, Asia, Africa, or Central America. I am also open to a hybrid role in the DMV Area (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia).
