About Dalan Gore

At a young age, my parents started fostering and adopting children. This prompted frequent experiences with individuals that had disabilities. I found myself frustrated at adults that would not take the time to engage with children who were unable to communicate effectively. My new-found siblings inspired me to become a speech-language pathologist. This same frustration was felt early in my career as I saw educated individuals rush students and patients. Where there is a problem, there is an opportunity. I began to challenge myself to make a greater impact by providing education, volunteering with the Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association, and taking on supervision roles. Although I love my role as a clinician, I sought further education that supported my desire to increase my positive reach in the world. I needed to know the lingo to advocate for my colleagues and the individuals we serve. I now have masters degrees in business administration and healthcare management. The combination of these degrees with my speech-language pathology background have merged well to support leadership service and supervisory positions within my prior employment and volunteer roles. These experiences have ultimately enhanced my ability to interact with community members, business partners, clients/customers, employees, and executives.
