About Dalia Elsayed
I am a Phd candidate at the department of Education at Concordia University. I am interested developing ways to dismantle racist notions in education through understanding the experiences of Black students. I research and develop frameworks to explain how anti-blackness is embedded in educational institutions and offer mechanisms to address these issues. My PhD research focuses on race, critical theory, intersectionality, and feminist epistemology. My scholarship seeks to understand blackness in a global perspective focusing particularly on the experiences of the Black African in the diaspora. In doing so, I am interested in understanding the different narratives and frameworks that contribute to the formation and the articulation of Black identity/identities globally.
