About Dalton Elery

As an educator and musician, I have spent the last 5 years teaching as the band director. During this time, I have grown the high school band and established a thriving beginning band program. Prior to this, I gained valuable experience in both education and music. In education, I have worked at the Ralph Foster Museum, where I helped with museum display research, setup, and maintenance, as well as assisting with the museum's "Children's Discovery Room". I also completed my student teaching at Hollister RV School District, where I managed band and choir classrooms for grades 6 through 12. In the realm of music, I have over 15 years of experience performing in various music ensembles. I am a recipient of the College of the Ozarks' 2019 John Phillip Sousa Award and a community player for the College of the Ozarks' concert band, jazz band, and orchestra. I have also spent 2 years working in the College of the Ozarks Music Office, where I ran audio and visuals for music performances, assisted with the setup of music venues, and handled daily office tasks. Additionally, I assisted with musical productions at Welk Resort Branson (now Hyatt), where I assisted the music director with choral rehearsals and was in charge of running all tracks and sound fx for each performance.
