About Dalton Murray

I am a Videographer, Video Producer, and Video Editor with extensive knowledge across all parts of the pipeline, from writing to web distribution. I consider myself an excellent planner and communicator who is able to plan projects well and budget time for multiple projects at once. At CalDigit, I frequently juggle meeting frequent social media obligations while working on longer term video projects. I’ve honed my chops at writing for various intent, including instructional and educational material as well as more marketing focused work. On set, I have experience in many roles, including Videography, audio work, lighting and rigging, and set design, as well as experience and comfort being on-screen talent. I am well versed in various filming styles behind the camera, with a current specialty on instructional/ interview work and product videography, as well as more cinematic approaches and internal facing works in previous positions. I love post-production work - I am highly experienced with video editing, and proficient at audio editing, visual effects (mostly in After Effects), and color grading. I’m also proficient at Photoshop, especially as it relates to prepping assets for video use. In addition, I dabble in 3D animation a bit and can incorporate it into my work, but for now I mostly stick to the cinematic side of things and less on the modeling. I’m not afraid to sink my teeth into new software and learn something new. More into the technical side of things, I'm knowledgeable on encoding and distribution formats for web. I have a working education on video streaming through personal interest, though I would love the chance to do it professionally. I have a love for live work coming from a theatre background before moving into video. Live studio production is very exciting to me, and livestreaming is a very modern and more accessible version of that. I consider myself a jack of all trades, and I am always interested in learning new things. My vast range of skills gives me the flexibility to fit into any team.
