A public policy specialist with 20 years of experience in the Australian public service and consumer advocacy organizations. Extensive experience in preparing economic analysis and policy advice on issues including telecommunications, rural water, pensions, and economic development. Held policy positions with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission the Commonwealth (Australian Federal) Treasury as well as policy roles in the NSW Treasury, Consumer Affairs Victoria, and the Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria. Has also worked with the independent Consumer Policy Research Centre. Has a strong interest in policy issues and legislation that improves outcomes for the public and consumers in particular. Holds a Master in Public Administration from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
