In 2014 at the age of 21 I decided to further pursue a more lucrative career to support my at the time fiancé and myself more comfortably and received my 02-15 and my 02-20 insurance licenses for the state of Florida pertaining to insurance policies and got a job with a major agency in my home town. Fast forward to 2016 where seeing the negative impact that pharmaceuticals had on my clients in the insurance industry drove my passion to find a career that I felt aligned with my morals more than just financial desires. It was at this time I had looked to Florida’s medical cannabis industry, which at the time was new and still under constant reform and development. After this realization I was introduced to a broad cannabis education from the Cannabis Training University as well as following up hands on learning from some Tennessee hemp farms as well as some farmers out west. After gaining this education and learning further how to run a cannabis based business in Florida with Florida’s regulation through FDACS and DOH I started a company named Healthy Hempies where I formulated products with less than.3% THC. Our products popularity grew quickly through word of mouth and we began taking wholesale accounts as well as white label accounts all while supplying our own 2 brick and mortar stores. In the same period of time from 2019-2021 I had started another business of my own named Phyto-Creations. This business was focused entirely on the agricultural side of cannabis and hemp. I had a successful crop off of each of my 6 individual farms where I fully ran every aspect of the farms from set up, germination, irrigation and pest Managment all the way to the vegetative state, through flowering and into crop, dry and cure. Unfortunately in the midst of success I was in a car accident in April of 2021 which left me with herniated discs up my spine resulting in me physically unable to tend to my crops during my 4 weeks of physical therapy which was a great financial loss that ultimately led to the closure of the company. We ran Healthy Hempies very successfully from 2016 - 2021 until Covid 19 hit our small town economy quite hard and we had to close our doors. From a few months before the closure of Healthy Hempies I had begun working with the medical cannabis dispensary MUV who is now owned by Verano, the 2nd largest MSO is the country. After 6 short months with the company I was promoted to Agent in charge to join the Managment staff and work further at the Lady Lake and Gainesville locations as I do now.
