Damon is experienced in team leadership, significant commercial negotiations, delivery of seamless services and strategic relationship management of suppliers and customers in a number of industries. As the Commercial and Procurement Manager for Xero Ltd, Damon is responsible for the commercial and contractual negotiations with marketing, PR, events and sales suppliers globally. Damon manages suppliers in all markets Xero trades in and across the full spectrum of marketing, PR, event and sales activities. A key trait is Damon's focus on partnering with the business to deliver long term sustainable success. Recently Xero's Commercial and Procurement Team were delighted to win the Team of the Year award at the 2018 #NZPE EY Procurement Awards. Previously as Metering Manager for Contact Energy, Damon was the business owner for all metering related services, which form the basis for customer billing and Contacts revenue. The responsibilities extend from operational management to ensuring delivery of critical business services through to strategic suppliers relationship negations and management.
