About Dan Andrews

A native of Dickson, TN, Dan graduated from Webb School in 1975 and then Vanderbilt University in 1979, with a B.S. in Economics. He began his banking career with Nashville City Bank where he went on to serve in 1983 as VP at Commerce Union Bank in their regional Middle Market Lending Area. He graduated from the Stonier School of Banking (University of Pennsylvania) in the mid 80's. In 1988, AmSouth asked Dan to start its new LPO in Nashville, where he headed up that division as SVP until it was folded into AmSouth's new Tennessee Bank charter in 1994- there he served as Head of Corp. Banking. In he left banking and bought a small business (Crown Tent and Awning) where he ran the day-to-day operations until he was asked by Gaylon Lawrence to return to banking in 2005 as EVP of Tennessee Bank & Trust. There he oversaw the location/ renovation/ construction of TB & T's new Davidson County offices. He has been President of the Tennessee market since 2006 as well as Board member of TB & T's parent Farmers' Bank, Ark.(2011- 2017). Dan has also served on the Board of Directors for F&M Bank (a $1B bank), headquartered in Clarksville, Tenn. which was acquired by Mr. Lawrence in Nov. He was the founding Chairman/ President & CEO of the newly formed Fourth Capital Bank in 2018. In 2022 he served as Vice Chairman but officed outside the bank with the Lawrence Family Group. Starting in August of this year, Dan was asked to be Interim CEO inside of Fourth Capital and help in the process of merging FC with Volunteer State Bank (anticipated Q I or II, 2024), another Lawrence wholly owned bank.
