About Dan Barrett

What I enjoyed most about working in government was being part of the mission to serve citizens in a way that truly mattered in their lives. Inside government, there's an opportunity to make a true difference for people, and that's what gets me energized. I transitioned to a career in consulting to find ways of continuing that commitment in a broader way, using my rare experience at USPS to accelerate progress at other agencies. Government agencies have unique challenges, the culture is different, and motivations are, too. It's because I've experienced the way government entities work from the inside that I'm able to position my CX capabilities within this context more effectively than anyone who has never lived it. I've come to realize that everything I've done before - my extensive background in technology and product innovation, insights and customer experience at USPS - has prepared me for what I'm doing now. At Guidehouse I forge new relationships with government agencies across the public sector. My team helps our clients improve and revitalize their CX operating model by providing data driven guidance, robust strategic advice and an endless amount of support and encouragement. When I'm not working, I can usually be found playing one of several sports with my kids, criticizing the Nationals bullpen or listening to music my kids have never heard of, with Neil Young as a favorite.
