About Dan Braasch

My primary strength is I tend to synthesize information. By that I mean that I look for insight into problems and alternative approaches. Innovator might be another way to describe me. From the original concept, I will make connection, extrapolations, and leap to a new vision and totally new approach to the task. I like to think of myself as a Pathfinder…. a key component of innovative solution findings. This tendency keeps me oriented around the bigger picture (or higher level or the “why are we here, what are we really trying to do” view) of the work before us, allowing me to discover more direct paths either through the work, or to new and better ways to work. Since I am genuinely interested in people and the success of the whole group, leveraging my people skills, listening and networking skills helps me learn new work assignments, tasks, systems and tools such that I can get the right information at the right time to quickly start producing in new or current work assignments. Finally, I give others people plenty of time to express their thoughts to make sure I understand their situations and thoughts completely. I believe listening is the simplest form of 5S, producing huge returns for our Teams, Work Assignments and the development of Team Cohesion. I ask more questions as the need arises, I take time to reflect and think through what is really expected, I then can analyze, evaluate, and revise my position. In our ever-changing work environment what is initially expected can easily have changed. So emphasizing listening and going back to re-listen,facts before fixes.
