About Dan Britton
In September 2019 I started my Engineering Doctorate in Materials, Modelling and Manufacturing at Swansea University, gratefully funded by Tata Steel Europe and EPSRC. The project concentrates on development of MgZn-based metallic coatings for the protection of steel in the automotive industry. My current research includes the effect of substrate conditions on coating properties and manipulation of microstructure to improve manufacturability. Past employment includes Additive Manufacturing Intern at GKN Aerospace and Engineering Research Intern at Swansea University's Institute of Structural Materials.
