About Dan Cole

As Chief Operating Officer at Washington Policy Center, I bring 15+ years of leadership in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on building strong teams, driving strategic growth, and delivering measurable results. I work with leaders, policymakers, and community partners to turn complex challenges into practical, impactful solutions for Washington state. Over the course of my career, I’ve led initiatives that increased donor revenue, expanded organizational reach, and strengthened marketing and communications. At WPC, I’ve collaborated on policy efforts that have engaged thousands of residents, influenced legislation, and advanced common-sense public policy. In 2020, my wife and I founded Camp Woodrich, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing joy, adventure, and rest to families with children with special needs—all at no cost to them. Since then, we’ve been grateful to see hundreds of wonderful families across the Greater Puget Sound Region enjoy meaningful experiences and time together. Outside of work, I’m a husband, a proud dad to two incredible kids, a musician in the Seattle-based band Verlaine, and a Volkswagen enthusiast.
