With over a 2 decades of hands-on experience in the steel fabrication and fitting industry, and a robust background in project management and maintenance leadership, I bring a wealth of knowledge and proven expertise to the table. Expertise in Steel Fabrication and Fitting: I have dedicated 11 years to mastering the craft of steel fabrication and fitting, specializing in creating large vessels, various size pipelines, and large-scale structural steel. My work spans across mild and stainless steel projects within the food, chemical, and water treatment industries. Over these years, I have honed my skills in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Leadership and Team Management: Throughout my career, I have developed strong team-leading skills, progressing to running jobs and managing teams effectively. My leadership capabilities are not just about directing work but inspiring my team to achieve exceptional results. This experience was further enhanced during my tenure at Jaguar Land Rover's engine manufacturing facility. Jaguar Land Rover Experience: At Jaguar Land Rover, I played a crucial role during the commissioning stages of the Module 4 machine hall, which was designed to manufacture 4 and 6 cylinder engines. I advanced to become a skilled maintenance team leader and was elected as the Unite Union team leader. I was entrusted with representing the company in Germany for the machine buy-off, demonstrating my ability to work with high-level management and directors. My time here allowed me to develop lean management skills, begin my Six Sigma certification, and gain expertise in maintaining 6-axis CNC machines, robotic programming, and automated conveyor systems. I also have brief experience with Siemens Step 7. Project Management at UK Engineering: Currently, I serve as a Project Manager at UK Engineering, a role I was asked to take on after proving my capabilities as a skilled tradesman. In this position, I oversee all elements of the project lifecycle, from quoting and design to procurement, manufacturing management, quality control, and budget management. My responsibilities include working closely with various clients from a wide range of sectors, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
