About Dan Dean

My name is Daniel Dean. I am 34 years old and I work, live and play in southwestern Wyoming. I was born and raised in this area and it is a great place to raise my own children. I enjoy most outdoor activities, namely; hunting fishing and camping. I am a single father of two children. I have a 5 year old son named Dustin and a 3 year old daughter named Vivian. I am a self-motivated problem solver and a leader. I am affable and capable both by myself and in team environments. I work extremely hard and pride myself in a job well done. My ability to assess the extent of a problem, organize a solution and execute that solution safely, timely and equitably have propelled me in my career in mining. I am an Eagle Scout. Upon high school graduation in 2008, I received full academic scholarship to Western Wyoming Community College. I graduated in May 2010 with an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) degree in Electrical & Instrumentation, an A.A.S Natural Gas Compression Technology and also a 1 year certificate for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. I was the male outstanding graduate for Western Wyoming Community College with a 4.0 GPA. The following month I started work at Solvay Chemicals Green River mine as an underground electrician (June 2010). While working at the mine, I continued my education at night and received a 1 year certificate in Electrical Mine Maintenance in December 2012. Two years later I was awarded from the state both my Underground Trona Mine Examiner certificate as well as my Underground Trona Foreman certificate in June 2014. Subsequent educational studies have resulted in an Associate of Science Degree- Engineering, an Associates of Arts- Communication and a 1 year certificate in Supervision and Leadership all awarded from WWCC in May 2017. I am a professional in the field of Automation and Electrical technologies. I can easily gather operational data from anywhere and use that data to improve control systems and strategies. My background and educational skillset allows me to accurately select, size and place sensory equipment in processes and on machines in order to gather the most reliable and useful information with regards to process control and engineering. Whether the problems presented to me are electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or engineering related; I am capable of producing a solution from start to finish. I am a skilled troubleshooter.
