About Dan Dickerson

My journey from investigator to mortgage originator to FCA Ministry For 12 years I served as a volunteer on the Northwest Middle TN FCA Board. At the time I was working as a contract background investigator working mostly with soldiers at Fort Campbell, KY. I made a career change to become a mortgage originator for a local mortgage broker and later a local bank in the Clarksville, TN area. Over the years, I also served at my church in various roles including deacon, youth leader, Sunday School teacher, choir member, praise team member, treasurer, and trustee. I felt a call on my life for ministry, but could not quite figure out the best fit. While serving as a volunteer on the FCA Board for years, we were praying for more Field Reps and volunteers to join the staff. I didn’t realize that we were praying for me. In the fall of 2022, I heard a sermon at church from Ephesians 4 as Paul prayed that they would “walk worthy in the calling” that they were called to. I had to ask myself that question: Am I walking worthy? In October 2022, I prayed to God to show me how to walk worthy and shortly after that, Gary Rankhorn asked me if becoming an FCA Field Rep was a possibility. I prayed again with purpose and it was like a weight that was lifted off my shoulders. Just like the peace that passes understanding. If you know, you know! So far the journey has been incredible. Words cannot completely describe how God is moving in local area schools, coaches and athletes through FCA.
