About Dan Dumbrell

I am a happy-go-lucky individual with a great work ethic both individually and in team environments. I was awarded my Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences in October 2017, where my thesis explored the use of emerging communication technologies for public health dissemination, as well as the role of various entities and stakeholders in social media-driven health information. I am passionate about translating research to real-world impact, open and strategic working relationships and equity, diversity and respect - three pillars which I believe create an effective working environment for all. I believe the best way to influence people is to use evidence and perceived benefits, and have thoroughly enjoyed every role in my career which I attribute to my willingness to take initiative and ownership of my work. In addition to the above, I am experienced in data analysis (Excel, SPSS), survey development and analysis (online survey tools e.g. Typeform) and psychometric assessment testing and benchmarking (RUMM2030). I have undertaken research work to deliver evidence-based outcomes to a diverse range of end-users (e.g. for-profit consumer brands, medical education institutes, not-for profit aged care)- which has allowed me to develop my ability to communicate to a variety of audiences.
