About Dan England

My current focus at work is response policing. I work on a small but highly motivated and dedicated team covering a 300sq mile rural area in East Wiltshire. I’m the team’s acting sergeant and have tutored or part-tutored 5 new constables in recent years. I thoroughly enjoy the buzz of emergency response but investigations is where I shine. While I’ve passed the detective’s exam and completed the courses, my childcare commitments made working in CID impractical so I chose to stay with my uniform response team. This has meant that my team and our community benefit from a detective trained (although not qualified) investigator and I love putting those skills to work for our community. Other roles I’ve worked in Wiltshire Police include contact centre, control room, intelligence live cell and corporate communications and engagement. I still have a huge interest in my first employer relationship with Whitbread Plc, love to see how successful the brands continue to be and am keen to reconnect with old colleagues.
