With 20+ years in commercial / regional management roles within parcel, pharmaceutical and wholesale logistics, working for global corporations, I oversee and lead all operational activities, translate strategic plans into defined operational actions, and develop high-level personal relationships within the industry, including customers and regulatory authorities. I have operated on global remits and in interim Director roles across QST Ltd / Well Pharmacy / DX Delivery Services and Tracking / Hermes Parcelnet Ltd. I have run 5 depots with 117 sub-depots and 2,500 courier rounds across West of England and North Wales. P&L control of a £30m budget. I am onboarded at request of senior executives based on my industry renown, and large corporate leaders’ awareness of my contribution. This is driven not least by the numerous awards I have won, both personal and for the team: SILVER Star for Customer Service Excellence / Bristol SC ‘Most Improved First Half Year’ / Hermes’ Northern Division Peak Award / the Motor Transport Team of the Year, and more. As Hermes 1st UK Depot Manager to secure ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 certification I am extensively personally trained in, amongst others, CPC National, IOSH, Practical Project Management, etc. I managed heavily unionised environments, worked alongside shop stewards, and turned paper-led operations entirely digital, driving huge savings. My numbers are very many, each with an underpin which helped my team to achieve them. Headlines, amongst many, include: • Developing from scratch a 3-year recruitment plan, flexible enough to accommodate revenue growth of 200%. • Increasing customer base and turnover within 6 months; separate client base 3-fold / turnover by 120%/ colleague engagement from 52% to 81%. • Reducing unit handling costs by 25%/ year-on-year SC running costs by £474k / CPU from £11.68 to £6.72. • Improving Trustpilot rating by 30%.
