I wrote the following bucket list item description (verbatim) in 2016:"My passion is to create a paradigm-changing idea lab where smart and diverse people are brought into the same room to conceive, make, test, and iterate until real value and impactful prototypes are developed. With time, the idea lab could be co-mingled with financial power and go-to-market expertise to guide implementation and maximize adoption and strategic growth. I advocate mixing technology with basic and big-data research, evidence-based medicine, incentive realignment, individuals taking more ownership of their health, and what we've learned about the brain and human motivation to create idea lab ventures that could be positioned for success." The same is true today and is the reason I'm now pursuing this goal. I'm interested in large-scale, non-obvious, and entrenched problems of the type you see when inside the healthcare system. I also like user friendly product ideas that can grow organically via grass roots engagement. My last project was called CareAffinity and the focus was to meld technology with the Triple Aim of improving health, improving care experiences, and especially reducing costs for elders hoping to 'age in place'. I felt an outstanding user experience with verifiable outcomes and cost reduction could meet success with the thousands of baby-boomers retiring daily. CareAffinity was trying to use a sharing economy model to enhance later-in-life quality and elder independence.
