Over the past 13 years I worked in foster care in the licensing role for foster parents. I assisted families through the licensing process, kept organized files on every family, composed home studies, and completed home compliance walkthroughs. In my time in foster care, I licensed 230+ families to help with foster care. Before my time with foster care (9 years), I served within two large churches in the Sports Ministry and with the Facilities Team during my undergraduate and postgraduate years. I assisted with various programs that involved the church members with sports and community, especially with children (Upward Sports, summer sports camps, etc.). I helped serve anywhere from 300-800 children in a given program per year. With the Facilities Teams, I do have knowledge and skills in keeping a building functional through cleaning, various maintenance projects, setups, etc.
