About Dan Fuller
I currently teach at Hinds Community College, Utica where my research interests include archives-based identity construction, African American education, and game theory/gamification of composition courses. I am currently co-directing a NEH Project exploring the life and legacy of William Holtzclaw, the founder of Utica Normal Institute (now HCC-Utica), examining the rhetorical strategies he used to engage multiple audiences in the racially charged Jim Crow era. Before returning to education, I worked for several tech companies and I enjoy incorporating technology into my daily teaching. On a personal note, I've been happily married since 2001 and have two children, Will and Maggie.
