My two (2) main focuses in my career have been design and testing. As a Test Engineer, I was involved in testing automotive components that included front / rear axles, steering components, and suspension components. I have also tested rail vehicles. Specifically on the high speed rail between Washington DC and Boston, i was involved with a team studying vehicle / track interaction. My design experience has mainly been with gears and gear reducers. My responsibilities included gear design, bearing life calculations, housing deflection, and lubrication requirements.
