About Dan Gomez

From building apps to building relationships—my career didn’t follow a straight line—and I’m proud of that. I began in the world of tech, working in the telecommunications industry. Driven by a curiosity and a passion for building, coding was my passion. But behind the algorithms, I was always a collector at heart. Collecting wasn’t just a hobby—it was a lifelong obsession. That obsession eventually became my career. During the height of the pandemic, I pivoted from tech into the collectibles industry, joining Collectors as the Head of Authentication for the newly acquired video game business. There, I had the opportunity to showcase the novel authentication methods which I had spend years developing in my free time. Just two years later, I was promoted. As head of authentication for all pop culture collectibles. My proven methods only became more clear. In this role, I had the opportunity to help stand up authentication and grading for several new verticals including comic books, magazines, toys, music, film, and sealed TCG packs. But as much as I enjoyed authenticating collectibles, there was more in store for me. I wanted to grow businesses. Today, I lead Business Development & Sales, helping grow PSA’s presence, forge key partnerships, and launch new initiatives that shape the future of collecting. What sets me apart is the hybrid lens I bring: the analytical rigor of a technologist, the trained eye of an authenticator, and the market instincts of a business leader—all grounded in the personal perspective of a passionate collector. I don’t just understand the market. I live it.
