About Dan Hall

Dan is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law by the California State Board of Legal Specialization. He has received the highest possible rating of “AV” from Martindale-Hubbell, a firm that has been rating lawyers for over a century for both legal ability and adherence to ethical standards, based on confidential peer review. Dan started his private practice in 1992 and represents clients with wide ranges of net worth and a variety of backgrounds. Before beginning his private practice he was a tax partner in the San Francisco office of Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) a national CPA firm. There he served as Director of Personal Financial Services for the firm’s Western Region of the U.S. Dan has spoken on estate planning and tax related topics to many different audiences including groups of attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals. He is the past president of the Eastern Alameda County Bar Association and the Tri-Valley Estate Planning Council. He holds a degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University and received his law degree from the University of Houston. In addition to his law degree and license to practice law in the state of California and Utah, he has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the state of Texas.
