About Dan Heuer

Bringing sustainability to companies with expert knowledge and digital tools I believe that responsible business is the future of business - not just because it has to be, but because it is the path to prosperity, efficiency and competitive advantage for companies. Sustainability has been with me since childhood, has guided me through my academic career (PhD in Social and Cultural Ecology at the UK) and continues to drive everything I create and pass on. My main focus is on the question "How do we draw companies into sustainability in a way that is beneficial and meaningful to them?" In 2018, Lenka Heuer and I founded the now respected consultancy Fair Venture, where we help medium and large companies discover opportunities where others don't see them. But small businesses are also crucial to the economy, and this is doubly true for sustainability. In 2021, Martin Klofanda and I founded Impact Metrics with a bright vision - to make ESG reporting more accessible and easier for those without big ESG budgets. We combined our professional expertise with modern technology to create digital tools such as a digital carbon footprint calculator or ESG data manager - a tool to simplify and collect ESG data. I've become accustomed to the "luxury" of doing higher value work, and it's something I find fulfilling. For us, business is not a goal, but a means to fulfill our vision. Therefore, it is also important for us to do things that contribute to the overall ecosystem of sustainable business and allow others to hold on to their values.
