About Dan Hill

As the founder and President of Danhill Construction, I have a proven record of creating good-paying jobs and know what it takes to successfully run a business. My wife, Becky, and I owned and ran the Glen Ferris Inn for 25 years where we also televised "Cooking with Dan and Becky". I am running for the House of Delegates in District 51 of Fayette County because I want to serve the community where I've lived all of my life. Many in our district played a part in making my businesses successful and I'd like to return the favor. I earned my Masters in Education Administration and taught for a few years before starting a construction business. Becky retired after teaching for many years here in Fayette County. Not only can I say that I support our teachers and students, but I have the education and experience to understand the complexities of how our education system works and what it takes to make it better. I love West Virginia, and I believe that we can make it even better. My business experience brings a common-sense approach to attracting businesses to start or move to our state. We have natural resources that we currently transport to another state for manufacturing. I'd like to see the manufacturing/processing stay right here to provide good jobs, boost our economy and fund our educational system.
