About Dan Hunt

With 15 years of experience in IT support for one of the UK's largest financial organisations - including roles in Helpdesk Support, Incident Management, Problem Management and IT Security - I am now bringing this knowledge to bear in tackling the new challenges of the cyber world.I focus on the interlinks between cyber and IT, most especially in translating IT's understanding of cyber problems (and their solutions) into explanations that are intelligible by the business and increasing the awareness of the role that the business have in supporting cyber defence. Most recently I have successfully introduced an automated phishing reporting tool into the organisation, heavily involved in all aspects from securing project funding, through driving the code design, creating the new workflow and finalising the front-end usability. This has supported increased awareness of phishing as a cyber threat amongst many layers of the business, driven increased education and awareness activities and created an automated workflow into the relevant IT analysis team. This project was brought in under budget, and with divisional coverage above expectations.
